501 Genesis is a youth gospel band dedicated to bringing the word of God through music with the intention to spark revival in the current generation and generations to come. The band performs Reggae, Contemporary, Punta, and Dancehall. They have written and produced two original songs “Can’t Live Without You” and “Time Fi Di Youth” which can both be purchased on all the major music platforms.

Interview with 501 Genesis
What inspired the songs on your first album?
We really wanted to capture some of the relevant issues that our generation faces. We talk about being lukewarm for Christ, being two-faced, and the violence and crime that young people are a part of.
Who would you like to collab with?
Definitely Papa San, Positive or Jaron Nurse.
Tell us about the evolution from D-Revelation to 501 Genesis. How has the music changed?
At first, we tried to identically mirror or parent’s style, but we realized that we need our own sound and our own name and that we can’t keep living in their shadows forever.
Our parents are probably the proudest people on this earth right now. We are forever grateful for all the support and the knowledge that they have passed down to us. In terms of how the music has changed, we try to bring a more modern sound and twist to our originals while still paying homage to those that paved the way for us.
What do you hope fans will take from your music?
We hope that fans would take the message that they should start serving God now, in their youth. And that they should not wait until they are old, because the time is now!
501 Genesis Band Members
The band is also referred to many as “Baby D-Rev” as half of its members are children of the legendary D-Revelation Band. The first row below are all generations from the original band. Louis Wade Jr. is the son of Louis & Shasta Wade who were both lead singers in the original band. He has followed his father’s footsteps as the band leader.
Paul Flowers Jr. is the son of Paul and Dorlene Flowers. Paul was the lead guitarist and his son has followed in his footsteps having the same role on this new band. Dorlene was a backup vocalist.
Jalen & Jillian are children of Willian Lamb who was the guitarist and also the nephew and niece of Ericson Lamb who was on the keys. Jalen has followed his uncle’s footsteps and also plays the keyboard.
Devaughn is the son of Doyle Dlowers who was the drummer and has followed in his father’s footseps as the drummer today.
