The Belize Gospel Expo is THIS WEEKEND!

It appears to be the month of music in Belize. We recently wrote a blog on two Belize artists nominated for the Antigua Barbuda Gospel Music & Media Awards. Today, we are excited to share about the upcoming Belize Gospel Expo on March 17 and 18. The Gospel Expo will take place in Belmopan at the National Agriculture and Trade Show Grounds.

This is year 6 of the Gospel Expo under the theme “and they came to worship Him” (Matthew 2:2). The event is free and features workshops, special performances, Corporate Sunday Service, kids ministry and playground and a DJ Showcase. The Gospel Expo is also a great event for new musicians to showcase their talent and this year will feature Kelsie Kay, a new young artist from Belmopan. She is set to release her cover of “Real Love” on the day the expo begins. Check out her intro video on Facebook.

Saturday Night Concert

The Saturday night concert will feature J Prince, a fan favorite from the beautiful island of Trinidad and Tobago, Garing Carballo from Belize City, and several bands including The New Tide also from Belize City and The Genesis Band from Sarteneja, Corozal. J Prince came to Belize for the Belize Gospel Expo 2016 and Belizeans fell in love with him. He is famous for his hit song “Thunder Roll” and this year we look forward to his new hit “Dust!” J Prince if you’re reading this, welcome back to Belize!

J Prince is from the small fishing village of Morne Diablo in Trinidad and Tobago. As a kid, he would dream of one day making music and today his music is played across the world. Maybe one day this will be the same story for Kelsie? J Prince is an excellent performer but even better is when he slows down the hype music to share his testimony of God’s work in his life. His music motivates so many in Belize, young and old, and we are glad he continues to use his talent to bless us.
