ID SEVEN | Year in Review – 2020
What a year 2020 was! It feels so good to say was. Though despite all the hardships, there is much to be thankful for. Below we highlight our top experiences from each month in 2020.
January – We officially opened our completed store. We had a soft opening before Christmas in 2019 then officially opened after an additional month of work.
February – Our Fry Jack Tee is still one of our most-loved tees so we decided to offer it in a few other colors. We originally launched the Fry Jack Tees in February 2017 and thought it was fitting to offer more color options on it’s 3 year anniversary.
March – This was the start of Belize’s pandemic experience as we documented our first Covid-19 case in country.
April – In April, we closed our doors due to the pandemic as many worked together to try to slow the spread of the virus.
May – Our business remained closed for another month.
June – After closing for 2 months, we made the decision to re-open and put extra measures in place to conduct business in a safe and clean environment. We also launched our very first professionally done ID SEVEN video. It was shot in Punta Gorda Town, Toledo by Henry Cho of Khybil.
July – We moved our store across the street. We do miss the coconut trees that so beautifully surrounded us but enjoy having a roomier space. When the world returns to some sense of normal, we plan to partner with the Belmopan Lion’s Club to offer some youth projects in the Belmopan area.
August – Our business entered an exciting partnership with Kaj Expressions to sell some of their jewelry at our store and them in turn selling some ID SEVEN merch at their San Ignacio location. We closed our store again mid-August.
September – After closing for another month period, we reopened right before Independence Day.
October – We experienced one of the saddest moments of the year when we lost a family member to Covid-19. Our hearts go out to all those who have lost someone due to Covid-19.
November – Our ID SEVEN Team celebrated 9 years of doing business and ministry in Belize. We celebrated by giving away $200 and launching our e-gift cards.
December – This is our favorite time of year. There’s just something about the Christmas season that puts everyone in a better mood. We released several new pieces this mont including our cozy Belize Map Sweater and a cute Belize Map Keychain. We also revamped our fan-favorite Axe & Paddle Hoodie design and now offer it in a softer fabric and new colors options. This was also our best December in sales to date as we experienced a level of local support unlike never before.
Thank you Belize for helping us to keep our doors open during such a hard year. We are grateful for your support.
Enjoy local, shop local.
