It seemed that some people were a little confused as to the size of Belize. So, we created this button as a little reminder for them ;). Belize is 8,867 square miles [period].

Weh Dehn Deh?

If you are Belmopanese or frequent Belmopan you know Freddy. He is our famous ‘Ice Man’ and is well known for his friendly personality. Freddy refers to almost everyone as ‘cuz’. He is also popular for his many famous sayings with ‘Weh Dehn Deh?’ being his most famous. This was our first button idea and Freddy was nice enough to support us and have us use his phrase.

Translation: Where are they? Freddy uses this to imply, “where are the people who want to buy ice?”

Rice & Beans

Belize’s main meal is Rice & Beans. Traditionally, this meal is served with a side of stewed chicken and gravy (or pork or beef), potato salad, and fried plantain. However, if you’re a real Belizean, you’ll add some home made onion pepper sauce or Belize’s famous Marie Sharp Pepper Sauce.

The Belize Map Button is the largest size in our collection and proudly displays the Map of Belize. This button is a perfect complement to our 8867 Button.

Haad Ayz Pikni

If you have not been called this, you were not raised right. Pretty much every Belizean child was once called Haad Ayz or Ayz Haad at one point in life. Above all our buttons, this is the most popular.

Translation: Hard of hearing child. Used when a child does not listen to their parents or follow their instructions.
